Care guide

Is it time to replace your towel? If it no longer dries you as well as it used to, has frayed edges or is more than 2 years old, it may be time for a new one.

If none of this applies yet, here’s how to keep it looking and feeling its best.

I want a new towel

1. Washing

Wash for the first time in cold water and separately.

Avoid using fabric softeners and detergents containing bleaching agents.

To prevent towel loops from snagging or losing their shape, wash towels separately from other items.

Tip: to keep them soft, add a small cup of white vinegar.

2. Drying

Shake your towels before drying to fluff up the fibres. If using a tumble dryer, choose a low temperature setting. Avoid overdrying, as excessive heat can damage the fibres.

If drying outdoors, keep them out of direct sunlight and bring them in before they become completely dry to prevent them from feeling stiff.

Between uses, hang your towel flat on a rail so it can dry quickly and evenly.

3. Storage

Folding and storing your towels properly is also part of keeping them in perfect condition. Store them on shelves in a dedicated cupboard.

We know it is tempting to keep them in the bathroom. Try to resist! A cool, dry place is the best option to avoid moisture and unwanted bacteria.

Tip: add a textile fragrance to keep them smelling fresh and relaxing.
